SCORSESE E IL NAIMA
La mia e-mail a Martin Scorsese quando ho saputo che veniva a Rimini per ritirare il premio «Federico Fellini»:
Dear Mr Scorsese,
as we wrote two years ago, after the showing of «The Blues» at the Venice Festival, that I attended kindly invited by Mikado Italia that put me in contact with your staff, we have finally realized the first Italian «House of the Blues» in Forlì, halfway between Bologna and Rimini, where we heard you’re going to take part in the Fellini Award ceremony.
Our «House of the Blues» has a weekly program that comprehends: on Wednesdays, showing of movies mainly set in New Orleans; on Thursdays, we give space to new young bands; on Fridays, as in the last 20 years, live gigs of big blues and jazz artists and bands (John Mayall, Eric Burdon, Robert Cray, Mick Taylor, Steve Hackett, Jorma Kaukonen & Hot Tuna, Roomfull of Blues, Popa Chubby, Billy Bragg, Chet Baker, Arto Lindasy, Lester Bowie, Odetta (that actually will be playing live next 25th November)… just to name a few of the many international artists that have been playing at our venue in its 20 years of activity); Saturdays are devoted to Swing dance with Big Bands and Jive Bands… in short a real ballroom, with a really suggestive and thrilling atmosphere!
Naturally, we would be greatly honoured and pleased if, being in Italy so nearby to us, you would accept our invitation to visit us and the unique Italian «House of Blues».
Looking forward to your reply
our best regards

La risposta della segretaria personale di Scorsese:
Dear Michele,
Thank you so much for your invitation for Martin Scorsese to visit
the HOUSE OF BLUES while in Italy. He wishes he could make It there, but his schedule is fully packed for the entire trip to Italy. It sounds so fantastic, please do stay in touch and maybe it will work out the next time around. Marty is very appreciative of your kind invitation.
Warm regards and many thanks again,
